I think he really said like it is and I think BN should ask permission to reprint this in their newsletter.

I think it hits on the head just like you. I was told that it was written by a social worker that used to work for one of the maternity homes here in Texas. I am not sure about that. I noticed that CUB Bastard nation and many others were mentioned. I would love to know who the adoptive parents are mentioned that support NCFA. The more and more I read the more I find that all sides of this issue are of the same opinion. Adoption plane/triad members want open records and adoption reform. I think we as 30 million strong need to start vocalizing our opinions on this issue
Amy, while you and i may know the "good' educated, open adoptive parents there are "old school" adopters...and those who want to buy a kid, no questions asked and no pesky (b)mothers to worry about...who support sealed records.
But mostly the NCFA represents Gladney and LDS. and they have convinced right-to-lifers that p[en records will increase abortions. there's no truth to it, but they seem to have bought it anyhow...anf they pressure legislators - many of whom are either aps or men who fear a knock on the door...and that's how the game is played.
also the attorneys and others who profit from private adoptions are lobbying to keep them closed, not open.
